Google adds Covid-related info in travel searches

Google has rolled out new tools to arm people with more information when searching and trip planning.  A Google search for flights, hotels, or activities will now flag up any Covid-19-related travel restrictions such as required vaccinations, quarantine and negative Covid tests.

Users can request alerts for when new updates are issued for specific destinations.  Google provides official links to the Covid related data, so users can click through to learn more details.

Additionally, Google has responded to the rise in road trip travel by offering more features through its Maps desktop app. It now highlights suggested stops along the route like hotels, national and state parks, and campgrounds.
